Best of Contest, ThinkQuest Jr
In the late ‘90s, myself and two teammates designed a website telling the story of “J.J. the Baby Gray Whale,” an orphaned whale who was rescued, rehabilitated, and released back into the wild. Our team was composed of myself and two other girls (ages 9 to 12), collaborating across three different cities on two U.S. coasts. Our website was recognized with the highest award in the contest.

Award-winning website, National History Day
In the early 2000s, while in middle school, I designed and built a website in HTML for National History Day using Microsoft’s FrontPage WYSIWYG HTML Editor software. The site examined the history of Walt Disney and the Disney company’s groundbreaking work in filmmaking and animation. To create the site, I researched the topic extensively, then wrote articles and created a visual timeline of noteworthy events.

Event website, CommUNITY Yoga Celebration
As Outreach Coordinator for the 2018 CommUNITY Yoga Celebration in Eugene Oregon, I created and managed a website for our event using WordPress.com. The website included 14 pages with event information, as well as an integrated Google Form for volunteer sign-up, Contact form, and social media links.

During a Hatfield Fellowship with PSU, I managed the launch of the park web page for St. Johns Prairie Bike and Pedestrian Trail on the Metro Regional Government’s website. I wrote copy, secured images, and coordinated across departments and jurisdictions to get the page live in under two months.
